Awards

Applications for various awards of ISSLUP during 2021, are invited as per details given in this Notice. The last date for receiving the nominations/applications in the prescribed proforma at the Society office is December 31 st , 2021.

ISSLUP Young Scientist Award: (One)

ISSLUP Young Scientist Award will be given biennially to a member of the ISSLUP of age not exceeding 40 years on 31 st December of the year of award i.e. 2021. This award is given to a Scientist in recognition of his/her professional contribution in the field of soil survey and mapping, soil classification, land use planning and other basic/applied pedological research, supported by date of birth certificate, a short and concise account of the published work (not exceeding 500 words), list of publication and reprints of most relevant papers. Any other material in support of the candidate may also be submitted. The research work done for any degree/diploma shall stand excluded from the purview of this award. The awardee shall be honored with a Gold plated medal and a Citation at the National Convention of the ISSLUP. Eligible members of ISSLUP can apply for this Award in the prescribed proforma (obtained from ISSLUP office or downloadable from www.isslup.in

ISSLUP Best Doctoral Research Presentation Award (One)

This award will be given, biennially to an individual, in recognition of the best presentation of doctoral research work done in Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry in India. Eligibility: A recipient of Doctoral degree in Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry, irrespective of age and membership of ISSLUP is eligible to apply for this award in the prescribed proforma (obtainable from ISSLUP office or downloadable from www.isslup.in The candidate should have either completed all the requirements so as to become eligible for the award of Doctoral degree (or received Doctoral degree) of a University (recognized by the University Grants Commission) or an Institute/ Organization (conferred with the status of 'Deemed to be University' in India) any time between 1 January 2020 and 31 st December 2021 (both days inclusive). The intending applicants are required to submit their applications in the prescribed proforma (supplied by ISSLUP on request or downloadable from www.isslup.in ) to ISSLUP office on or before 31 st December, 2021.

ISSLUP Best Master’s Degree Award (Two)

This award will be, given biennially to an individual, in recognition of the best presentation of Masters work done in Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry in India

Eligibility: This contest is open to candidates in India, irrespective of the fact whether they are members of the ISSLUP or not, but fulfilling the following essential requirements.

  • Must be a Master's degree holder in Soil Science/Agricultural Chemistry from a recognized university or an institute/ organization deemed to be university in India.
  • Must have submitted a Thesis/ Dissertation in partial/full requirement of the Master's degree.
  • Must have completed all the requirements so as to become eligible for the award of Master's degree or received the Master's degree any time during the period from 1 January 2020 and 31 st December 2021 (both days inclusive).


The intending applicants are required to submit their applications in the prescribed proforma (supplied by ISSLUP on request or downloadable from www.isslup.in ) to ISSLUP office on or before 31 st December, 2021.
